Lakeland Leather

We were contacted by a firm of consults who were commissioned to design a drainage scheme for Lakeland Leather's head office in Ambleside, Cumbria. Repeated flooding called for desperate measures to ensure this did not occur again. Along with the drainage engineers we developed a scheme to install a below ground packaged pumping station capable of pumping 72 l/sec when the gravity drains and attenuation fill up with ground water. A motorised valve installed in the gravity drain closed when water rose to a preset level ensuring ground water from the neighbouring beck did not enter the gravity system.

Kerry Foods

Kerry Foods fruit processing plant in Oakhampton, Devon had an aging booster pump plant that was struggling to meet their demands. After a visit to site our technical department came up with a proposal to build two tripple pump booster sets utilising the Hydrovar Inverter Drive and Lowara vertical multistage pump. The sets were built and tested in our own workshops and delivered to site, again within the delivery schedule and then commissioned by our site service engineers.
